Porthtowan

Porthtowan beach at low tide

Porthtowan is a small Cornish Village nestled between spectacular cliffs, on the fabulous north coast of Cornwall, situated midway between Newquay and St. Ives.

It has a safe sandy beach patrolled by lifeguards during the summer months, making it an ideal place for swimming and a popular surfing destination, surf-hire/lessons are available locally, and of course great fishing!

In the village there is a choice of bars offering a selection of good food etc., including the popular Blue-Bar over-looking the beach. A few small shops and a Post Office.
